    Do you. It can take up to 3qts of fluid to bleed these systems and you should use a power bleeder to do it. Or vacuum if you need a ascan tool to do it for the modulator valve then you need a pro scanner they can do it others can't. Was this answer. The scan results of the DTC's leads me to believe there are numerous problems with the modulator. If so can it be purged of its air with a pro scanner if there are problems with it?

    It's quite expensive. But as far as all the codes you have is another question. Is there actually a problem with sensors or is it because you have gone so long without fixing the abs unit that these have appeared. I would certainly have the codes cleared first and then drive it and see what you have. It may not be all these problems that have popped up. A couple of those codes may have shown simply because your battery was disconnected or in poor shape so have that checked for condition including load test.

The people at the dealership said they had never seen this before and that the pads must have got something corrosive on them that did that. A week later someone traveling through from out of state stopped at this same dealership to have the brakes checked. He was saying that they just all of the sudden would not work.

    This happened while I was idling at a dead stop in a parking lot. As I depressed the pedal with constant pressure for a minute or so, it simply collapsed suddenly! The rear axle grease seals had also ruptured so when I checked the brake lines and changed the rear pads the next day, I also replaced the grese seals and changed the differential fluid.

    After all that, the brake pedal remains at that same halfway height to which it had collapsed!! It is not spongy, In fact it is solid, and pumping the pedal it does not have any effect on its height or effectiveness. The mechanics at car X have a confirmed there is no leak in the lines or the master cylinder. Yet the pedal remains at half its normal height.
